Make It Up As We Go

Executive produced by songwriter and director, Scarlett Burke and Audio Up Media, the hit musical podcast Make It Up As We Go invites the world into the music of co-creator Burke. Season 2 follows the story of Charlotte Sayles, a fictional singer-songwriter from West Texas, who heads to Nashville to chase her dreams and faces the harsh realities of the high stakes writing rooms of Music City.

Make It Up As We Go is a first-of-its-kind musical podcast written by Brooks Hudgins and David Hudgins (Friday Night Lights) and features 2022 CMT LISTEN UP breakout country music stars Breland and Kat & Alex.

The first season was a massive success - garnering millions of downloads and impressions, launching the first country music single ever featured in an original podcast, and earning multiple Ambie and Webby Award nominations.

Each episode of the hit series features audio elements that immerse the listener in the story including taped interviews, voice memos of songs-in-progress, and musical interludes that take us inside Charlotte’s shows and recording sessions - all within an intimate, naturalistic narrative that tracks her journey as an unproven songwriter turned tour de force as she falls in love and launches her first hit record.
